What we store in your browser.
Almost nothing. We use one first-party storage entry to remember your theme preference, and our analytics provider doesn't set cookies. This page explains the details.
Short version
- One first-party browser storage entry (
theme), holding your light-or-dark-mode preference. Set when you use the theme toggle. - No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party cookies.
- Our analytics is Plausible, which is cookieless by design and does not personally identify visitors.
Full version
Theme preference
When you toggle between light and dark mode, we record your choice in your browser’s localStorage under the key theme. The value is either light or dark. This entry lets the site display your preferred theme on repeat visits without a flash of the wrong theme. It’s stored only in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers.
You can clear it via your browser’s site-data controls at any time.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics. Plausible does not set cookies, does not use browser fingerprints, and does not personally identify individual visitors. It records aggregate metrics only: page visits, referring site, country (at the country level), browser, and operating system. All data is stored in the European Union by Plausible.
Embedded third-party content
Our contact page embeds HaloPSA’s self-service portal via an iframe. Our navigation offers Microsoft Office Bookings (for consults) and our RMM remote-session tool in separate dialogs. When you interact with these embeds, the third-party services may set their own cookies. Those cookies are governed by the privacy policies of HaloPSA, Microsoft, and our RMM provider respectively - not by us. We don’t have access to those cookie values.
Essential session data
When you submit a form (contact, subscribe to the newsletter), the request may carry standard HTTP headers including session cookies from our infrastructure providers. These are used only for security and load-balancing and are not used for tracking.
Do Not Track
Because we don’t track you in the first place, the Do Not Track signal is effectively already honoured - there’s no tracking to opt out of.
Changes
If we add a new cookie or similar storage (for example, if we later introduce an admin panel that requires a session cookie for authenticated staff), we’ll update this page and log the change in the effective date.
